Axe, burnt phone & watery grave: Haridwar 'mahant' lured to UP, hacked to death over affair with married woman
Three individuals, including a 30-year-old woman, were arrested for the alleged ax murder of Mahant Brijesh Das of Ravidas Ashram in Haridwar. The woman, reportedly in a relationship with the mahant, conspired with her husband and brother-in-law to kill him, fearing blackmail. The body was recovered from the Krishna river in Baghpat, UP.
