'Gaurav Gogoi attempted to legitimise Pakistan': Assam CM alleges Congress MP's links with neighbouring country
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma accused Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi of attempting to legitimise Pakistan and alleged links between Gogois wife, Elizabeth Colburn Gogoi, and Pakistani national Ali Tauqeer Sheikh. Sarma claimed she worked in Pakistan from March 2011 to March 2012 and that her family had close ties with Sheikh.
